Repatriate Duwamish Land.
Preserve Urban Green Space.

Goals

  • Come Together.

Provide community accessible facilities, workshop, class/meeting room space, native farming and plant restoration, recycling facility, office space, storage, short term accommodation, land preservation.

  • Preserve.

Prevent future development of the land and preserve green spaces through land stewardship in partnership with the surrounding Duwamish River Valley Communities.

  • Repatriate.

Raise $1,000,000 to purchase the land parcel outright. Place the property in a trust given to the Duwamish Tribal Services to prevent the future development of land.

  • Help us repatriate Duwamish land today.

The Duwamish People have resided on what is known as Seattle and King County land since time immemorial. Where they once inhabited 90 villages in the Puget Sound area and had over 54,000 acres of land taken from them for nothing in return.

  • Over $50,000 and 3,000 labor hours invested to date.

A group of dedicated West Seattle community members joined together to create an outdoor education facility to allow all members and visitors of the community to have a space to share together while working outdoors in a safe capacity. The goal of this project is to provide a safe place for youth and adults to learn skills, trades and outdoor stewardship.

  • Grow it.

The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it.
